- 箱根駅伝の出場を目指す大学の陸上部員が多数参加。全国トップレベルの大学生や実業団ランナーの迫力ある走り、そして速さを間近で体感できる
- 世界陸連および日本陸連公認コースであり、アップダウンが少なく、全体的にフラットなコースが特徴
- 前日には親子ペアや小・中学生を対象とした「ジュニアチャレンジラン」を実施。幅広い世代が参加できる大会となっている
