- 大会名の通り、桃の産地で開催される大会。例年夏に開催されていたが、2024年から春開催に変更
- 春開催になり、桃の花が咲き誇る風景の中を走れるようになったことで、夏に参加していた方もこれまでとは違う景色を楽しめる
- 多少のアップダウンはあるが、比較的平坦な部分が多く、市街地、住宅街、果樹園や里山と景色の変化を楽しめるコース
- 60回を超える伝統ある大会で、地元の方々からのおもてなしや応援が、ランナーにとって大きな力になっている
- 伊達市物産展も同時開催され、走るだけでなく地元グルメや特産品も楽しめるのも大きな魅力
