- 大会最大の目玉は、大会名にも冠されている、袋井市が誇る最高級マスクメロン「クラウンメロン」をゴール後に味わえること
- 大型スタジアム「小笠山総合運動公園エコパスタジアム」がスタート＆ゴール地点
- 2026年の第38回大会からは約5.5kmのクロスカントリーを新設。小笠山の自然の中を駆け抜ける、ロードとはひと味違ったコースを走ることができる
- 3kmは小学生以上が参加でき、ファミリーの部やペアの部も設定。子どもから大人まで、幅広い層が参加できる種目構成となっている
- 走った後の「至福のメロン」を目指して、子どもから大人まで誰もが楽しめる大会
