- 八面山は、戦時中にB-29が墜落した歴史があり、山頂付近には平和を祈念する「平和公園」が整備されている
- 平和のシンボルである「八面山」を背景に、平和の大切さを感じながら幅広い世代のランナーが楽しめる大会
- ゴール後には、中津名物の唐揚げなど地元のグルメが振る舞われる
- 会場近くには「八面山金色温泉」があり、レース後は露天風呂でゆったりと疲れを癒やすのもおすすめ
