- エイドでは、新鮮なさくらんぼがランナーに振る舞われるのが最大の特徴
- ハーフから、家族で参加できるファミリーの部まで種目が豊富に設定されているため、幅広い層のランナーが楽しめる
- 参加者には特産のさくらんぼ「佐藤錦」、山形県産米おにぎり、大会記念Ｔシャツ、冷凍フルーツなどが参加賞として用意されている
