- 手賀沼を望むほぼフラットなコースで走りやすく、記録も狙いやすいのが特徴
- 沿道の温かい応援や、中高生ブラスバンドなどの演奏も魅力。都心からのアクセスも良好で、初心者からベテランまで楽しめる大会
- 第31回から円滑な大会運営のためハーフマラソンはフィニッシュ制限時間が設定された
