- 日本の古代史の鍵を握る国宝「金錯銘鉄剣（きんさくめいてっけん）」が出土した「さきたま古墳群」の周辺を巡るコース
- 行田市が舞台となった人気小説・ドラマにもなった『陸王』にちなんで大会名に「陸王杯」を冠している大会
- コースは全体的に高低差はなく平坦で走りやすい。古代ロマンを感じながら古墳の横を走り抜けるコースが魅力
- 未就学児の託児サービスの実施や、無料送迎バス、貴重品預かりなどホスピタリティあふれる大会
- ハーフ、10kmの部の優勝者にはなんと「オリジナルはにわトロフィー」が贈呈される
